From wine and fresh grape pomace, the heads and tails are cut to result in rich and elegant “heart”. This refined spirit is barrel strength and provides a clean, resonant depth framed by understated oak spice.
The name comes from two red foxes that visited our orchard, consumed left-over fermented grape skins, then unsteadily waddled off. The drawing was done by my seven year old daughter who witnessed the event.

We are proud to present the ancient Iberian experience of Anise Brandy. Just two ingredients, grape spirit and anise seeds, distilled together in a traditional still and barrel aged for one year. No sugar is added. The resulting spirit is subtle, aromatic, and deeply comforting!
Anise Aguardente can be consumed straight or with the addition of water. Its natural licorice flavor transforms drinks for phenomenal experimentation and and pairs nicely with any meal. Traditionally an Azorean favorite libation.
